Psalm 34:17

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears and delivers them out of their troubles”

As mentioned in my first blog, I love Lauryn Hill’s music…as it is my Gospel! Her song titled “I Get Out” is a story of being freed from the little boxes we are placed in by society, religion, family or even ourselves.

“…knowing my condition is the reason I must change…” Lauryn Hill

If you are living a life with unresolved issues, more than likely you are operating from within a box of lies, pain, bitterness, unforgiveness, etc…

How do I know? Because I have firsthand experience …

I grew up in dysfunction, I suffered from abuse, neglect and also witnessed domestic violence. My mother had a mental illness and my father was an abuser of drugs & alcohol. Needless to say my boxes started forming from an early age.

“If you don’t make peace with your past, it will keep showing up in your present” …Dr. Dwayne W. Dyer

Due to my childhood trauma, I was (dys)functioning from an I-don’t-know-my-identity box. I had no structure, guidance or no understanding of healthy boundaries. Operating from this box I became a chameleon, I learned how to adopt the personality of others.

Due to my childhood dysfunction, I became a master of suppressing my feelings and a great pretender. I was so wrapped up and “protected” by my box of lies, I did not take notice of the self-inflicted pain, chaos and confusion in my life because it was my normal.

The not so pretty truth about unresolved issues is that it still exists without our permission or acknowledgement. If you don’t deal with it – it will deal with you!

Oh but the good news is…there is Hope & you don’t have to stay that way!

Amen to That!

“…Father free me from this bondage…” Lauryn Hill

YOU are worthy of happiness & freedom, take a chance on change! Let God transform you from the inside out, so you can go from Past to Purpose and blossom into that beautiful butterfly you were designed to be!

Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me”

By the way – I love my family, I understand their background, lack of knowledge and resources. I forgive them, which allows me to operate out of love & peace! It’s such a beautiful thing…Glory be to God!

I am praying for you…Love you…God Bless you!
